2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Margaret "Maggie" Schwegel of Alton, who |
4 | | passed away on May 10, 2011; and

5 | | WHEREAS, She was born on December 1, 1938, in Winchester, |
6 | | the daughter of Floyd and Rowena (Freezen) Stice; she married |
7 | | Peter "Jabo" Schwegel on February 4, 1961, at St. Mary's |
8 | | Catholic Church in Alton; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, She was co-owner and operator of the State Street |
10 | | Tomboy Market for over 20 years and a member of St. Mary's |
11 | | Catholic Church in Alton; she was an avid bingo player, and |
12 | | enjoyed playing games and socializing on the computer; her true |
13 | | joy was spending time with her family; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her |
15 | | parents; her sisters, Dorothy Moore and Ruby Schaberg; and her |
16 | | brothers, Bob Stice, Wayne Stice, and Joe Stice; and

17 | | WHEREAS, Margaret Schwegel is survived by her sons, Pete |
18 | | Schwegel and his wife, Tammy, and Mark Schwegel and Sabrina |
19 | | Colonna; her daughter, Sandy Schwegel and Randy Schmidt; her |
20 | | grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Schwegel; her sisters, Mary |
