Amends the Gubernatorial Boards and Commissions Act. Provides that no member of a board or commission may be reimbursed for travel expenses paid from the General Revenue Fund. Effective immediately.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Gubernatorial Boards and Commissions Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 25 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (15 ILCS 50/25 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 25. No reimbursement for travel expenses paid from the |
| 8 | | General Revenue Fund. Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, |
| 9 | | beginning on the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
| 10 | | 97th General Assembly, no member of a board or commission may |
| 11 | | be reimbursed for travel expenses paid from the General Revenue |
| 12 | | Fund.

| 13 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 | | becoming law.
