| 1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Fox Waterway Agency Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 6 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (615 ILCS 90/6) (from Ch. 19, par. 1206)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 6.
The Board shall meet as soon as practicable after |
| 8 | | the directors
assume the duties of office and shall meet at |
| 9 | | least 6 times annually or
more often at the discretion of the |
| 10 | | Chairman or upon the request of 2/3
of the directors.
The Board |
| 11 | | shall select from its membership a Secretary and a Treasurer.
|
| 12 | | The Treasurer shall be custodian of all Agency funds and shall |
| 13 | | be bonded
in such amount as the other members designate.
The |
| 14 | | Chairman shall have the power to vote only in the event of a |
| 15 | | tie, but
shall fully participate as a director in all other |
| 16 | | respects. Directors
and the Chairman may be compensated at the |
| 17 | | discretion of the Board in the sum
of up to $3,000 per year for |
| 18 | | each director and up to $5,000 per year for the
chairman, |
| 19 | | effective immediately upon approval of the Board. The Board |
| 20 | | members
shall also be reimbursed
for ordinary and necessary |
| 21 | | expenses incurred in performing their duties under
this Act.

act
as the
