Amends the Notice By Publication Act. Provides that notwithstanding any law to the contrary, when any notice is required by law to be published in any newspaper, then, on and after January 1, 2012, that notice must instead be published by posting the notice on an Internet website maintained by the Secretary of State and shall not be published in a newspaper. Provides that publication on the website is deemed to meet all legal requirements for publication. Provides that if requested, the Secretary of State shall certify the inclusive dates upon which the notice is posted on the website. Provides that the Secretary of State is authorized to adopt rules to implement and administer these provisions. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Notice By Publication Act is amended by |
5 | | adding Section 1.5 as follows: |
6 | | (715 ILCS 5/1.5 new) |
7 | | Sec. 1.5. Notice by publication on website. |
8 | | Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, when any notice is |
