Creates the Illinois Electric Power Generation Task Force Act. Provides that the Illinois Electric Power Generation Task Force, a separate entity within the Illinois Commerce Commission, shall be formed to conduct a comprehensive electric power generation study to determine the adequacy of the electric generation load in Illinois. Provides for the appointment of members of the Task Force by the Illinois Commerce Commission, Illinois Power Agency, and the Illinois General Assembly. Provides that the Task Force shall complete the study report containing specified information and issue it to the Illinois Commerce Commission, the Illinois Power Agency, and the Illinois General Assembly by January 1, 2012. Provides that the Act is repealed on January 15, 2013. Effective immediately.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the |
5 | | Illinois Electric Power Generation Task Force Act. |
6 | | Section 5. The Illinois Electric Power Generation Task |
7 | | Force. |
8 | | (a) The Illinois Electric Power Generation Task Force, a |
9 | | separate entity within the Illinois Commerce Commission, shall |
10 | | be formed to conduct a comprehensive electric power generation |
11 | | study to determine the adequacy of the electric generation load |
12 | | in Illinois. The Task Force shall consist of 6 members. The |
13 | | Illinois Commerce Commission and the Illinois Power Agency |
14 | | shall each appoint a member to the Task Force. The member |
15 | | appointed from the Illinois Commerce Commission shall be the |
16 | | chair of the Task Force. The House Speaker and Minority leader |
17 | | of the House shall each appoint a member to the Task Force. The |
18 | | Senate President and the Minority Leader of the Senate shall |
19 | | each appoint a member to the Task Force. The Task Force shall |
20 | | complete the study report and issue it to the Illinois Commerce |
21 | | Commission, the Illinois Power Agency, and the Illinois General |
22 | | Assembly by January 1, 2012. |
