SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Adjusts appropriations to the General Assembly budget for the 2011 fiscal year. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. “An ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 96-956, approved July 1, 2010, is amended by changing Sections 15, 25, 30, 35 and 40 of Article 70 as follows:

Sec. 15. The amount of $20,338,646
20,603,400 or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is
appropriated to meet the ordinary and incidental expenses of the Senate
legislative leadership and legislative staff assistants and the House Majority
and Minority leadership staff, general staff and office operations. Of this
amount, 24.73% 25.7% is appropriated to the President of the
Senate for such expenditures, 26.04% 25.7% is appropriated to the
Senate Minority Leader for such expenditures and 25.12% 24.8% is
appropriated to the Speaker of the House for such expenditures, and 24.11%
23.8%
is appropriated to the House Minority Leader for such expenditures.

Sec. 25. The amount of $298,490
309,200, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is appropriated
to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives
for the ordinary and incidental expenses, also including the purchasing on
contract as required by law of printing, binding, printing paper, stationery
and office supplies. For the House, no part of which shall be expended for
expenses of purchasing, handling or distributing such supplies and against
which no indebtedness shall be incurred without the written approval of the
Speaker of the House of Representatives. Of this amount, 68.175% 69.277%
is appropriated to the President of the Senate for such expenditures and 31.825%
30.723% is appropriated to the Speaker of the House for such
expenditures.

Sec. 30. The amount of $4,378,008
4,483,050, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is
appropriated to the President of the Senate for the use of standing committees
for expert witnesses, technical services, consulting assistance and other
research assistance associated with special studies and long range research
projects which may be requested by the standing committees and the Speaker of
the House of Representatives for Standing House Committees pursuant to the
Legislative Commission Reorganization Act of 1984. Of this amount, 45.587%
46.862% is appropriated to the President of the Senate for such
expenditures and 54.413% 53.138% is appropriated to the Speaker
of the House for such expenditures.

Sec. 35. The amount of $162,825
167,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is
appropriated to the President of the Senate and the Senate Minority Leader for
allowances for the particular and additional services appertaining to or
entailed by the respective officers of the Senate. Of this amount, 48.7%
50% is appropriated to the President of the Senate for such expenditures
and 51.3% 50% is appropriated to the Senate Minority Leader for
such expenditures.

Sec. 40. The amount of $85,215
88,100, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, is
appropriated to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of
Representatives for travel, including expenses to Springfield of members on
official legislative business during weeks when the General Assembly is not in
session. Of this amount, 64.3% 65.5% is appropriated to the
President of the Senate for such expenditures and 35.7% 34.5% is
appropriated to the Speaker of the House for such expenditures.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
