Amends the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that whenever the Department of Transportation shall replace any used vehicle, it shall first notify and give the Department of Central Management Services the opportunity to receive the vehicles by inter-agency equipment transfer. Provides that if the vehicles are not acquired by the Department of Central Management Services, the Department of Natural Resources shall be given the opportunity to receive the vehicles by inter-agency equipment transfer. Provides that after these requirements have been met, units of local government shall be given the opportunity to purchase the vehicles. Effective January 1, 2012.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the

| 5 | | Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by changing |
| 6 | | Section 2705-575 as follows:
|

| 8 | | Sec. 2705-575. Sale of used vehicles. Whenever the |
| 9 | | Department shall replace any
used vehicle, it shall notify and |
| 10 | | give the Department of Central Management Services the |
| 11 | | opportunity to receive the vehicles by inter-agency equipment |
| 12 | | transfer units of local government in this
State and the |
| 13 | | Department of Natural Resources the first
opportunity to |
| 14 | | purchase the vehicle. If the vehicles are not acquired by the |
