| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 5A-6 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 5A-6. Disposition of proceeds. The

shall pay all moneys received from hospital |
| 9 | | providers under this
Article into the Hospital Provider Fund. |
| 10 | | Upon certification by
the Illinois Department to the State |
| 11 | | Comptroller of its intent to
withhold from a provider under |
| 12 | | Section 5A-7(b), the State
Comptroller shall draw a warrant on |
| 13 | | the treasury or other fund
held by the State Treasurer, as |
| 14 | | appropriate. The warrant shall
state the amount for which the |
| 15 | | provider is entitled to a
warrant, the amount of the deduction, |
| 16 | | and the reason therefor and
shall direct the State Treasurer to |
| 17 | | pay the balance to the provider,
all in accordance with Section |
| 18 | | 10.05 of the State Comptroller Act.
The warrant also shall |
| 19 | | direct the State Treasurer to transfer the amount of the
|
| 20 | | deduction so ordered from the treasury or other fund into the
|
| 21 | | Hospital Provider Fund. |
