| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Nonresident College Trustees Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 60/1) (from Ch. 144, par. 7)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 1.
(a) In all colleges, universities and
and other
|
| 8 | | institutions of learning in the State of Illinois, not placed |
| 9 | | under the
control of the officers of this State, whether |
| 10 | | organized under any general
or special law, non-residents of |
| 11 | | this State shall be eligible to the office
of trustee; |
| 12 | | provided, that at least 3 members of the board of
trustees
of |
| 13 | | any such institution of learning shall be residents of this |
| 14 | | State. This
subsection (a) does not apply to the Board of |
| 15 | | Trustees of the
University of Illinois,
Southern Illinois |
| 16 | | University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois
|
| 17 | | University,
Governors State University, Illinois State |
| 18 | | University, Northeastern Illinois
University,
Northern |
| 19 | | Illinois University, or Western Illinois University. |
| 20 | | (b) No institution of learning in this State
shall be
|
| 21 | | removed from this State unless by a unanimous vote of the board |
| 22 | | of trustees.
