SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates the amount of $950,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education to support the launch of a new statewide toll-free Parent Helpline administered by the agency designated by the Governor pursuant to the Protection and Advocacy for Developmentally Disabled Persons Act. Effective July 1, 2010.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $950,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education to support the launch of a new statewide toll-free Parent Helpline administered by the agency designated by the Governor pursuant to the Protection and Advocacy for Developmentally Disabled Persons Act to provide timely and accurate information, advice, and strategies to better enable parents to informally resolve their differences with their schools.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2010.
