SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
225 ILCS 110/14.5

    Amends the Illinois Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Practice Act. Provides that all fees and fines collected under the Act shall be deposited into the General Professions Dedicated Fund (now, there is an exception for the Hearing Instrument Consumer Protection Fee). Provides that on December 1 of each year, the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall transfer from the General Professions Dedicated Fund to the Hearing Instrument Dispenser Licensing and Discipline Fund an amount equal to all the fees collected for the licensure and renewal of audiologists since the previous December 1. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning professional regulation.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Illinois Speech-Language Pathology and
5 Audiology Practice Act is amended by changing Section 14.5 as
6 follows:
 
7     (225 ILCS 110/14.5)
8     (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2018)
9     Sec. 14.5. Deposit of fees and fines. All Beginning July 1,
10 1995, all of the fees and fines collected under this Act shall
11 be deposited into the General Professions Dedicated Fund, with
12 the exception of the Hearing Instrument Consumer Protection Fee
13 provided for in subsection (b-5) of Section 14, which shall be
14 deposited into the Hearing Instrument Dispenser Licensing and
15 Discipline Fund administered by the Department of Public
16 Health. On December 1 of each year, the Department shall
17 transfer from the General Professions Dedicated Fund to the
18 Hearing Instrument Dispenser Licensing and Discipline Fund an
19 amount equal to all the fees collected under subsection (b-5)
20 of Section 14 of this Act since the previous December 1.
