AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2593

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2593 as follows:

on page 2, line 9, by replacing "fee of $1500 $500." with the 
4
following:

"fee established by administrative rule of the Department, in 
6
consultation with the Department of Healthcare and Family 
7
Services, but not to exceed $1500 and further subject to the 
8
limitations on health care-related taxes imposed by 42 U.S.C. 
9
1396b(w) that, if violated, would result in reductions to the 
10
amount of federal financial participation received by the State 
11
for Medicaid expenditures  of $500."; and 
 
12
on page 9, line 8, by replacing ", accompanied by a license fee 
13
of $50 per" with ", accompanied by a license fee established by 
14
administrative rule of the Department, in consultation with the 
15
Department of Healthcare and Family Services, but not to exceed 
16
$50 per bed and further subject to the limitations on health
