| AN ACT concerning employment.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Minimum Wage Law is amended by changing |
5 |
| Section 7 as follows:
|

| (820 ILCS 105/7) (from Ch. 48, par. 1007)

| Sec. 7. The Director or his authorized representatives have |
8 |
| the authority to:
|
9 |
| (a) Investigate and
and gather data regarding the wages, |
10 |
| hours and other
conditions and practices of employment in any |
11 |
| industry subject to this Act,
and may enter and inspect such |
12 |
| places and such records (and make such
transcriptions thereof) |
13 |
| at reasonable times during regular business hours,
not |
14 |
| including lunch time at a restaurant, question such employees, |
15 |
| and
investigate such facts, conditions, practices or matters as |
16 |
| he may deem
necessary or appropriate to determine whether any |
17 |
| person has violated any
provision of this Act, or which may aid |
18 |
| in the enforcement of this Act. |
19 |
| (b) Require from any employer full and correct statements |
20 |
| and reports in
writing, including sworn statements, at such |
21 |
| times as the Director may deem
necessary, of the wages, hours, |
22 |
| names, addresses, and other information
pertaining to his |
23 |
| employees as he may deem necessary for the enforcement of
this |
