20 ILCS 2705/2705-117 new










    Amends the Department of Transportation Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Requires the Department to establish and publish scientifically-based criteria detailing under what circumstances concrete or asphalt is the preferred material for roadbuilding purposes. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning transportation.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the

Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended  by adding 
6
Section 2705-117 as follows:

    (20 ILCS 2705/2705-117  new)

    Sec. 2705-117. Roadbuilding criteria; concrete or asphalt. 
9
The Department shall establish and publish 
10
scientifically-based criteria detailing under what 
11
circumstances concrete or asphalt is the preferred material for 
12
roadbuilding purposes.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
14
becoming law.
