605 ILCS 5/9-112.05 new










    Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Provides that no new grade
crossings of public highways with railroads may be established in the State
of Illinois on or after July 1, 2009.  Effective July 1, 2009.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Highway Code is amended by adding

Section 9-112.05
as follows:

    (605 ILCS 5/9-112.05 new)

    Sec. 9-112.05. Grade crossings of public highways with

railroads.  No new
grade crossings of public
highways with

railroads
may be established in the State of Illinois on or

after July 1, 2009.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,

2009.
