| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 614 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section |

| 2-3.109c as follows:

| (105 ILCS 5/2-3.109c new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 2-3.109c. Regional office of education grant |
| 8 |
| eligibility. A regional office of education may apply for and |
| 9 |
| be eligible to receive, subject to the same restrictions |
| 10 |
| applicable to school districts, any grant administered by the |
| 11 |
| State Board of Education that is available for school |
| 12 |
| districts.

| 13 |
| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 |
| becoming law.".
