| AN ACT concerning local government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1-3-2a as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (65 ILCS 5/1-3-2a) (from Ch. 24, par. 1-3-2a)

| Sec. 1-3-2a.
Any municipality is authorized to adopt by |
| 8 |
| reference the
the county
subdivision code of the county wherein |
| 9 |
| such municipality is situated,
without setting forth the |
| 10 |
| provisions of such code in full, provided that at
least 3 |
| 11 |
| copies of such code which is incorporated or adopted by |
| 12 |
| reference
are filed in the office of the clerk of the |
| 13 |
| municipality at least 15 days
prior to adoption of the |
| 14 |
| ordinance which incorporates such code by
reference and there |
| 15 |
| kept available for public use, inspection and
examination. |
