| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 340

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 340 on page 26, by |
| 3 |
| replacing lines 12 through 19 with the following:

| "(x) The Department shall conduct annual credit history |
| 5 |
| checks to determine the financial history of children placed |
| 6 |
| under its guardianship pursuant to the Juvenile Court Act of |
| 7 |
| 1987. The Department shall conduct such credit checks starting |
| 8 |
| when a ward turns 12 years old and each year thereafter for the |
| 9 |
| duration of the guardianship as terminated pursuant to the |
| 10 |
| Juvenile Court Act of 1987. The Department shall determine if |
| 11 |
| financial exploitation of the child's personal information has |
| 12 |
| occurred. If financial exploitation appears to have taken place |
| 13 |
| or is presently on-going, the Department shall notify the |
| 14 |
| proper law enforcement agency, the proper State's Attorney, or |
| 15 |
| the Attorney General."; and

| on page 26, by deleting lines 23 and 24.
