| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 262 on page 1, by |

| replacing lines 4 through 19 with the following:

| "Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended |

| by adding Section 10-65 as follows:

| (20 ILCS 1305/10-65 new) |

| Sec. 10-65. Hunger Relief Fund; grants. |
| 8 |
| (a) The Hunger Relief Fund is created as a special fund in |
| 9 |
| the State treasury. From appropriations to the Department from |
| 10 |
| the Fund, the Department shall make grants to members of the |
| 11 |
| Illinois Food Bank Association for the purpose of making |
| 12 |
| capital improvements, purchasing food, or acquiring other |
| 13 |
| assets. |
| 14 |
| (b) Moneys received for the purposes of this Section, |
| 15 |
| including, without limitation, appropriations, gifts, |
| 16 |
| donations, grants, and awards from any public or private entity |
