230 ILCS 5/28.1

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Provides that if an inter-track wagering location licensee's facility changes locations, then the payments associated with that facility for museum purposes shall be paid to the park district in which the facility is located to be used for museum purposes. Provides that if the facility is not located in a park district, then the payments shall be paid to the taxing district responsible for park or museum expenditures. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
In provisions concerning payments for museum purposes, deletes language concerning payments to the Urbana Park District.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Provides that if an inter-track wagering location licensee's facility changes its location, then the payments associated with that facility for museum purposes shall be paid to the park district in the area where the facility relocates, and the payments shall be used for museum purposes. Provides that if the facility does not relocate to a park district, then the payments shall be paid to the taxing district that is responsible for park or museum expenditures. Effective immediately.
