| AN ACT concerning local government.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Volunteer Emergency Worker Job Protection |

| Act is amended by changing Section 20 as follows:
|

| Sec. 20. Applicability. This Act does not apply to any |
| 8 |
| employer that is a municipality with a population of 7,500
|
| 9 |
| 3,500 or more.
