| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Howard B. Baldwin of |
4 |
| Kewanee on Thursday, February 24, 2005; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on October 8, 1924, in Galva to Simon |
6 |
| and Florence McIhargy Baldwin; he attended Galva and Kewanee |
7 |
| schools; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, He married Mary Lou Hayden on February 23, 1947, |
9 |
| in Dwight; and
|
10 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Baldwin was a plumbing inspector for the City |
11 |
| of Kewanee, retiring in 1990; he served his country as a member |
12 |
| of the U.S. Navy in Australia; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of the Kewanee VFW and American |
14 |
| Legion, the Allendale Conservation Club in Modena, and served |
15 |
| as a Scout Master for American Legion Troop 103; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Howard B. Baldwin has been deeply |
17 |
| felt by many, especially his wife, Mary Lou; his daughter, |
18 |
| Becky (and Bob) Switzer; his sons, David (and Judy) Baldwin and |
19 |
| Hayden (and Carla) Baldwin; his sisters, Loris Jean Kinsey, |
20 |
| Arlene Peterson, and Georgian Schmidt; his 14 grandchildren; |
21 |
| his 20 great-grandchildren; and his great-great-grandchild; he |
22 |
| was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; |
23 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
26 |
| Howard B. Baldwin, and we offer our deepest sympathy to his |
27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
