| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 537

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 537, on page 1, |

| immediately below line 3, by inserting the following:

| "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 |
| 3-15003.7 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (55 ILCS 5/15003.7 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 15003.7. Facilities; tobacco prohibited. No person |
| 8 |
| shall possess or use tobacco in any of its forms in an |
| 9 |
| institution and facility of the Department."; and
|
| 10 |
| on page 1, line 4, by replacing "Section 5" with "Section 10"; |
| 11 |
| and
|
| 12 |
| on page 2, line 7, by replacing "Section 10" with "Section 15"; |
| 13 |
| and
|
| 14 |
| on page 2, immediately below line 19, by inserting the |
| 15 |
| following:
|
| 16 |
| "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on |
| 17 |
| January 1, 2006, except that the changes to Division 3-15 of |
| 18 |
| Article 3 of the Counties Code take effect on July 1, 2006.".
