| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois wish to congratulate Nathan Warstler of |
| 4 |
| Georgetown on being named the News-Gazette's Boys Runner of the |
| 5 |
| Year for 2006; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Nathan Warstler is a two-time all-state |
| 7 |
| cross-country runner; he finished 12th at the State meet in |
| 8 |
| Class A with the area's fastest 3-mile time at 12 minutes and |
| 9 |
| 29 seconds; he finished 11th at State as a junior helping the |
| 10 |
| Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes to a 6th place finish, tying |
| 11 |
| the second-highest finish in school history; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He researches and reads about running, hates to |
| 13 |
| miss practice, and is always asking what more he can do; he has |
| 14 |
| refused to let illness or injury deter him from his running; he |
| 15 |
| will go down as one of the top runners in school history; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Nathan Warstler is also an excellent student; he |
| 17 |
| enjoys playing soccer, Frisbee, the piano, the harmonica, and |
| 18 |
| video games; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 |
| we congratulate Nathan Warstler on being named the |
| 22 |
| News-Gazette's Boys Runner of the Year; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to Nathan Warstler as a token of our congratulations.
