| WHEREAS, State Representative Monique D. Davis and the |

| members of the House of Representatives wish to express their |

| sincere condolences to the family and friends of Michelle |

| "Mickey" Alyse Barnes, who passed away on September 25, 2006; |
6 |
| and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on January 4, 1957; her parents were |
8 |
| Luthetas and the late William Armstead; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a graduate of Robert Lindblom Technical |
10 |
| High School; she furthered her education at Northwestern |
11 |
| University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; |
12 |
| and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, She worked as a staff nurse at the New Life Family |
14 |
| Center at Rush University Medical Center; she later received |
15 |
| her certification as an International Board Certified |
16 |
| Lactation Consultant, becoming a Lactation Consultant for Rush |
17 |
| University Medical Center and Chicago Women's Care Center; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, Michelle Barnes was baptized at an early age; she |
19 |
| was a member of All Nations Community Church in Homewood, |
20 |
| Illinois; she was an active participant in and original member |
21 |
| of Women of Prayer; she served four years as the chairperson |
22 |
| for the group's Annual Prayer Breakfast; and
|
23 |
| WHEREAS, Michelle "Mickey" Barnes is survived by her loving |
24 |
| husband, Grover H. Barnes; her children, Grover, Jr., Dorohn, |
25 |
| Brittni, Christopher, and Lauren; her granddaughter, Kennedy; |
26 |
| her mother, Luthetas Armstead; her brother, Darrin; her |
27 |
| mother-in-law, Margie Barnes; her sisters-in-law, Antoinette, |
28 |
| Linda, Regina, and Bridget; her brothers-in-law, Phil and |
29 |
| Stephan; her aunts, Bonnie, Yvonne, and Estella; her uncle, |

| Lawrence; and her nieces, nephews, cousins, close relatives, |
