| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Reverend Donald |
4 |
| E. Horath and the Hillside Bethel Tabernacle Church in Decatur |
5 |
| on the occasion of the church's 45th anniversary; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Horath founded Hillside Bethel |
7 |
| Tabernacle on October 1, 1961; he is celebrating 45 years of |
8 |
| pastoral ministry along with the anniversary of the church; and
|
9 |
| WHEREAS, He has served in the role of police chaplain in |
10 |
| many places, including Faulkner County, Arkansas; Wood County, |
11 |
| Alba, Texas; Livingston Parish, Louisiana; and Walker, |
12 |
| Louisiana; he has also been active in jail ministry in Decatur; |
13 |
| and |
14 |
| WHEREAS, Pastor Horath has been recorded in the third |
15 |
| edition of "Who's Who in Religion"; he served as the producer |
16 |
| of Hillside Bethel Outreach Television Ministry, which aired on |
17 |
| four stations, from 1984 to 2001; he served as Vice-Chairman of |
18 |
| Bethel Ministerial Association, Inc., from 1980 to 1985 and as |
19 |
| Chairman from 1985 to 1997 and 2003 to 2006; he also served as |
20 |
| the Chairman of the Credential Committee from 1997 to 2003; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, He has been a member of the Christian Minister's |
22 |
| Alliance Executive Board of Decatur since 1999; he has been the |
23 |
| Administrative Pastor of Hillside Bethel Christian School |
24 |
| since 1986, is an officer of Christian Schools of Illinois, and |
25 |
| is associated with "Team Impact Ministries"; and |
26 |
| WHEREAS, Reverend Horath graduated from Stephen Decatur |
27 |
| High School in Decatur; he completed studies at Bethel Academy, |
28 |
| Bethel Ministerial Assoc., Inc., in Indianapolis, Indiana; he |
29 |
| received an Administrative Training Certificate from the |
30 |
| School of Tomorrow (A.C.E.) in Lewisville, Texas, and a Doctor |
