| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
3 |
| State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Carla E. |
4 |
| Fisher of Warrenville on Tuesday, May 9, 2006; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. Fisher was born on December 26, 1952, to |
6 |
| Edward and Claire Fisher; and
|
7 |
| WHEREAS, She attended Drake University and worked at the |
8 |
| capital nearly 30 years ago; she began as a legislative intern |
9 |
| for the House Republicans on July 25, 1977, and went on to |
10 |
| serve as Deputy Director of Research for the House Minority |
11 |
| Staff until November 30, 1980; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, While Carla took her legislative duties very |
13 |
| seriously, she enjoyed playing practical jokes; her |
14 |
| legislative colleagues remember her as having a huge heart, and |
15 |
| she was always there for a pal; and
|
16 |
| WHEREAS, She went on to start her own business, Creative |
17 |
| Resources, a bill-tracking service used by many lobbyists; she |
18 |
| was also active in animal protective activities and was a |
19 |
| trained Hinsdale Humane Society volunteer; she helped with |
20 |
| obedience training, pet behavior advice, pet camp, and other |
21 |
| various activities; she also was active in lay ministry at |
22 |
| Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village; and
|
23 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Carla E. Fisher has been deeply |
24 |
| felt by many, especially her brother, Ward Fisher; therefore, |
25 |
| be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
27 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
28 |
| we mourn the passing of Carla E. Fisher, and we extend our |
29 |
| deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and all who knew and |
