| WHEREAS, Pat Dawson of Forsyth, partner and owner of Miles |

| Chevrolet Inc. in Decatur, received the 2006 TIME Magazine |
4 |
| Quality Dealer Award (TMQDA) at the opening business meeting of |
5 |
| the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention |
6 |
| in Orlando, attended by more than 25,000 individuals involved |
7 |
| in the automobile industry; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, The TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award is the |
9 |
| automobile industry's most prestigious and highly coveted |
10 |
| award for car dealers; recipients of the award are among the |
11 |
| nation's most successful auto dealers and must also demonstrate |
12 |
| a long-standing commitment to effective community service; and
|
13 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dawson is one of only 66 automobile dealers, |
14 |
| from more than 19,500 nationwide, nominated for the 37th annual |
15 |
| award sponsored by TIME Magazine in association with Goodyear |
16 |
| and in cooperation with NADA; a panel of faculty members from |
17 |
| the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business |
18 |
| Administration selects TMQDA finalists; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Dawson traces his roots in the automobile |
20 |
| industry to his grandfather, who persuaded Henry Ford to let |
21 |
| him sell used Fords on consignment in Detroit in 1904, thus |
22 |
| beginning the now four-generation family business; and
|
23 |
| WHEREAS, In addition to his business successes, Mr. Dawson |
24 |
| and his dealership have also supported a wide range of |
25 |
| organizations and causes; he has served as a board member for |
26 |
| the Decatur Family YMCA, Decatur Police Foundation, and Decatur |
27 |
| Celebration, among other civic activities; he helped the YMCA |
28 |
| to raise over $10 million to build a new facility in the center |
29 |
| of town; and
|

| WHEREAS, Mr. Dawson resides in Forsyth with his wife, Ann |
