| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, When we think of the world being a better place, |
| 3 |
| we think of how it
begins with young children; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, Children need a safe and loving environment to |
| 5 |
| grow, learn, excel,
and be happy; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Children have dreams and wishes, and society will |
| 7 |
| do its best to
help their dreams come true; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Children are brilliant and ingenious in their own |
| 9 |
| way; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Society should have an established date to |
| 11 |
| recognize the
achievements
and value of its children; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, El Día de los Niños (Children's Day) is celebrated |
| 13 |
| to recognize
every single
child and acknowledge each of them; |
| 14 |
| and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, By celebrating April 30th, we are making a |
| 16 |
| commitment to children
that we will continue to listen, teach, |
| 17 |
| and nurture them; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we commemorate the lives of our children and our future by |
| 21 |
| designating April 30, 2006, as El Día de los Niños (Children's |
| 22 |
| Day).
