| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Walter Baltikauski retired from his position with |
| 3 |
| the Spring Valley Fire Department in February of 2006; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, He served on the Spring Valley Fire Department for |
| 5 |
| 43 years; he was an Officer of the Department for 30 years, and |
| 6 |
| for 20 years he served as Assistant Chief; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, During his tenure with the fire department, Mr. |
| 8 |
| Baltikauski received two accommodations, one for saving a child |
| 9 |
| from a burning building and one for performing C.P.R. on a |
| 10 |
| parent at John F. Kennedy school; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He performed custodial duties and was a school bus |
| 12 |
| driver at John F. Kennedy School in Spring Valley for many |
| 13 |
| years; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Baltikauski has been married to his wife, |
| 15 |
| Cathy, for 43 years; he is the father of Mark and Mary and the |
| 16 |
| proud grandfather of seven grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 17 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 18 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 19 |
| we congratulate Walter Baltikauski on the occasion of his |
| 20 |
| retirement after 43 years of service at the Spring Valley Fire |
| 21 |
| Department; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to Mr. Baltikauski as an expression of our gratitude |
| 24 |
| for his willingness to put his life on the line for the |
| 25 |
| citizens of Illinois for so many years.
