| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The Bolingbrook High School Lady Raiders won the |
3 |
| 2006 IHSA Class AA girls basketball State championship by |
4 |
| defeating Belleville Althoff by the score of 45 to 34 on March |
5 |
| 4, 2006, in Normal; and
|
6 |
| WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders had an impressive 31-2 record and |
7 |
| are the first of any IHSA sanctioned competitive sport in the |
8 |
| Valley View School District to win a State championship as a |
9 |
| team; this accomplishment demonstrates the dedication and |
10 |
| tremendous effort set forth by the players, coaches, managers, |
11 |
| athletic department, parents, and fans; the 2006 Lady Raiders |
12 |
| Basketball Team has truly raised the bar for all future |
13 |
| athletics at Bolingbrook High School; and
|
14 |
| WHEREAS, The team members include: Mauvolyene Adams |
15 |
| (Captain), Brittney Thomas (Captain), Kiara Marshall, Satavia |
16 |
| Taylor, Janisha Gearlds, Shanina Jenkins, Miranda Tate, |
17 |
| Camille Ramsey, LaTisha Morgan, Kirsten Esbensen, Shantina |
18 |
| Boyd, Madison Tate, Nikki Coates, Nicole Parrott-Wilson, and |
19 |
| Samantha Woods; and the managers are Jasmine Lyons, Rebecca |
20 |
| Calloway, Melissa Smith, and April Bullock; and
|
21 |
| WHEREAS, The coaching staff includes: Head Coach Anthony |
22 |
| Smith; Assistant Coaches Carter Larry, Angela Thomas, Matt |
23 |
| Monken, and James Klappauf; and Trainer Gina Younce; and
|
24 |
| WHEREAS, The students, staff, and parents at Bolingbrook |
25 |
| High School, and all of the Village of Bolingbrook in Will |
26 |
| County, Illinois, have supported the Lady Raiders and are |
27 |
| justifiably proud of the team's exemplary performance and hard |
28 |
| work; therefore, be it
