| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate the Hoffman |
| 4 |
| Estates High School girls bowling team on winning the IHSA |
| 5 |
| State Championship; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, After taking second place in 2005, the Hawks came |
| 7 |
| from behind to win the tournament, defeating Plainfield Central |
| 8 |
| and Collinsville; they trailed by 28 pins entering the third |
| 9 |
| round and still managed to secure the title; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The Hawks won the Mid-Suburban League Conference |
| 11 |
| and the IHSA Sectional meets through hard work and dedication; |
| 12 |
| at the beginning of the year, they set a goal for the team and |
| 13 |
| each member strived to achieve that goal; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The team is led by head coach Dan Pfligler and |
| 15 |
| assistant coaches Gonz Bullon and Steve Kurbyun; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the team are Mallory Haupert, |
| 17 |
| Candice Whitecotton (10th place), Amanda Bein, Amanda Cortese, |
| 18 |
| Natalie Cortese (11th place), Bridget Crowley, and Amanda |
| 19 |
| Hoglund; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 22 |
| we congratulate the Hoffman Estates High School girls bowling |
| 23 |
| team on winning the IHSA State Championship; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to each of the team members and coaches of the Hawks |
| 26 |
| as an expression of our esteem.
