| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |

| Representatives are proud to
recognize significant events in |
| 4 |
| the lives of the citizens of this State; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, It has come to our attention that Lieutenant |
| 6 |
| Thomas M.
Fitts of the Grant Park Police Department graduated |
| 7 |
| June 13, 2005 from the F.B.I. National Academy Program in
|
| 8 |
| Quantico, Virginia as part of the 221st National Academy class;
|
| 9 |
| and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Thomas Fitts graduated with honors, earning a 4.0 |
| 11 |
| grade point average
on a 4-point scale and received the Yellow |
| 12 |
| Brick Fitness award; the Yellow
Brick Award required |
| 13 |
| participation in nearly three months worth of challenge
runs in |
| 14 |
| addition to other physical training regimens; the final |
| 15 |
| challenge was a
9.2 mile run; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 17 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 18 |
| we congratulate Lieutenant Thomas M. Fitts of the Grant Park |
| 19 |
| Police Department on his graduation from the F.B.I. National |
| 20 |
| Academy Program and wish him all the best in the future; and be |
| 21 |
| it further
