| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, On September 20, 2005, the General Robert E. Wood |
| 3 |
| Boys & Girls Club and the senior management of HSBC-North |
| 4 |
| America are holding an "Extreme Makeover" event at 2950 West |
| 5 |
| 25th Street in Chicago; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Nearly 250 members of the senior leadership team |
| 7 |
| of HSBC-North America, one of the nation's largest financial |
| 8 |
| services firms, headquartered in Prospect Heights, will |
| 9 |
| partner with the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club in an |
| 10 |
| extensive rehabilitation of the Club; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, HSBC volunteers will develop new computer and |
| 12 |
| video centers and will paint the interior and exterior of the |
| 13 |
| Club, underwriting all costs associated with the event; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The project will begin with a brief kickoff |
| 15 |
| ceremony involving a performance by the Club's member children, |
| 16 |
| remarks by the Club's Executive Director, Victor Ceballos, and |
| 17 |
| a check presentation from HSBC; therefore, be it
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 |
| we recognize and thank HSBC-North America for partnering with |
| 21 |
| the General Robert E. Wood Boys & Girls Club to rehabilitate |
| 22 |
| the Club; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 24 |
| presented to HSBC-North America and the General Robert E. Wood |
| 25 |
| Boys & Girls Club as an expression of our admiration and best |
| 26 |
| wishes for the future.
