| WHEREAS, On Saturday, June 18, 2005, Dr. Carl L. White, |
3 |
| Jr., will be elevated to the office of Apostle in a |
4 |
| Consecration Service to be held at New Mount Olive Baptist |
5 |
| Church in Harvey; and |
6 |
| WHEREAS, He is the founder and pastor of Victory Christian |
7 |
| Assembly Church; born in Winchester, Arkansas, and raised on |
8 |
| the Westside of Chicago, his formal educational background |
9 |
| includes certification as an Evangelical Teacher, Malcolm X |
10 |
| College, the U.S. Army Training Institute, Chicago Baptist |
11 |
| Institute, and Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute; |
12 |
| and |
13 |
| WHEREAS, As an evangelist, Apostle White has traveled |
14 |
| throughout the continental U.S. as well as internationally; his |
15 |
| vision of evangelism and "Ministry of the Total Man" reaches |
16 |
| out through programs and collaborative efforts with the |
17 |
| community; and
|
18 |
| WHEREAS, Programs he and the church have sponsored include |
19 |
| support for welfare recipients and first-time, non-violent |
20 |
| offenders, after school tutorial and life skills enhancement |
21 |
| programs, Toys for Tots and an Angel Tree program, health care |
22 |
| and prevention seminars, and numerous other initiatives; and |
23 |
| WHEREAS, Dr. White has worked with many civic, community, |
24 |
| and religious leaders internationally, nationally, and |
25 |
| locally; his
professional affiliations include: Cook County |

| Clergy United; District Overseer, the South Suburban Full |
27 |
| Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship; member, Illinois Baptist |
28 |
| State Association; member, Chicago Metropolitan Baptist |
