| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois are pleased to congratulate Lora McDonald |
| 4 |
| McGuire on receiving the 2005 NIU Outstanding Alumni Award; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ms. McGuire received a Bachelor of Science in |
| 6 |
| Nursing from Northern Illinois University in 1974; she is |
| 7 |
| currently a Professor of Nursing at Joliet Junior College; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She is active in her community with such |
| 9 |
| organizations as Take Back the Night; her dedication to her |
| 10 |
| profession is appreciated not only by Northern Illinois |
| 11 |
| University, but by the entire community as well; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She received the award at the Northern Illinois |
| 13 |
| University 2005 Alumni Awards Dinner held on April 21, 2005, at |
| 14 |
| the Chicago Athletic Association; therefore, be it
|
| 15 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 16 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 17 |
| we congratulate Lora McDonald McGuire on receiving the 2005 NIU |
| 18 |
| Outstanding Alumni Award; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 |
| presented to Ms. McGuire as an expression of our respect and |
| 21 |
| esteem.
