225 ILCS 25/20.5 new










    Amends the Dental Practice Act.  Provides that any person licensed to practice dentistry under the Act shall provide to the Department proof of insurance coverage for professional practice, as required for valid licensure, and shall at all times display the proof of insurance or a duplicate original thereof in a conspicuous place in his or her office of dental practice.

    AN ACT concerning regulation.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Dental Practice Act is amended  by 
5
adding Section 20.5 as follows:

    (225 ILCS 25/20.5 new)

    Sec. 20.5. Proof of insurance required; display of proof of 
8
insurance. Any person licensed to practice dentistry under this 
9
Act shall provide to the Department proof of insurance coverage 
10
for professional practice, as required for valid licensure, and 
11
shall at all times display the proof of insurance or a 
12
duplicate original thereof in a conspicuous place in his or her 
13
office wherein he or she shall practice the profession, and 
14
shall further, whenever requested, exhibit such proof of 
15
insurance to any member of the Department or its authorized 
16
agent.
