Amends the Illinois Endangered Species Protection Act and the Illinois Natural Areas Preservation Act to provide that areas designated as Enterprise Zones under the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act that are located on a former U.S. military base that was closed in 1990 or thereafter are exempt from the provisions, duties, obligations, and penalties provided under these Acts. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning conservation.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Endangered Species Protection Act |
| 5 |
| is amended by adding Section 12 as follows:
|

| Section 10. The Illinois Natural Areas Preservation Act is |

| amended by adding Section 27 as follows:

| Sec. 27. Enterprise Zone exemption. Areas designated as |

| Enterprise Zones under the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act that |

| 19 |
| obligations, and penalties of this Act.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 21 |
| becoming law.
