    AN ACT concerning State government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended  by 
5
adding Section 82 as follows:

    (5 ILCS 490/82  new)

    Sec. 82. Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The month of 
8
September of each year is designated as Ovarian Cancer 
9
Awareness Month to be observed throughout the State as a month 
10
set apart to promote advocacy activities and the study of 
11
ovarian cancer and to honor those whose lives have been 
12
impacted by the disease. The Governor may annually issue a 
13
proclamation designating September as Ovarian Cancer Awareness 
14
Month and calling upon the citizens of the State to promote 
15
awareness of ovarian cancer.
