SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $7,000,000 for FY06 from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for grants to farmers to add additives to anhydrous ammonia to deter theft of anhydrous ammonia and prevent the product from being used to manufacture methamphetamine. Effective July 1, 2005.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $7,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Agriculture for grants to farmers to add additives to anhydrous ammonia to deter theft of anhydrous ammonia and prevent the product from being used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2005.
