    Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources may (rather than shall) adopt administrative  rules regarding the operation of all-terrain vehicles and off-highway motorcycles.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended  by changing

Section 11-1427.3 as follows:

    Sec. 11-1427.3. Rules for all-terrain vehicles and

The Department of Natural Resources

shall adopt rules to implement and
administer the

provisions of Sections 11-1426, 11-1427, 11-1427.1, and

11-1427.2.
