Amends the Department of Revenue Law of the Civil Administrative
Code of Illinois. Mandates the Department, with respect to the positions that
are devoted to establishing, collecting, or prosecuting overdue taxes,
(i) to fill
all positions authorized by appropriation for fiscal year 2005 and (ii) by
January 1, 2006, to fill an additional 200 positions. Effectively
immediately.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Department of Revenue Law of the Civil
|

| Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
6 |
| 2505-501
as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 2505/2505-501 new)

| Sec. 2505-501. Additional tax collection personnel.
With |
9 |
| respect
to the positions that are devoted to establishing, |
10 |
| collecting, or prosecuting
overdue taxes, the Department is |
11 |
| mandated (i) to fill all positions authorized
by
appropriation |
12 |
| for fiscal year 2005 and (ii) by January 1, 2006, to fill an
|
13 |
| additional 200 positions.
|

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
15 |
| becoming
law.
