 1        AN ACT in relation to the Supreme Court.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The Supreme Court Act is amended by changing
 5    Section 5 as follows:

 6        (705 ILCS 5/5) (from Ch. 37, par. 10)
 7        Sec.  5.  If  the said supreme court shall not sit in any
 8    term, or shall not continue to sit the whole term, or  before
 9    the  end  of the term shall not have heard and determined all
10    matters and causes depending in the said courts, all  matters
11    and  causes  depending and undetermined shall stand continued
12    until the next succeeding term.
