 1        AN ACT concerning higher education.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.   The Southern Illinois University Management
 5    Act is amended by changing Section 7.2 as follows:

 6        (110 ILCS 520/7.2) (from Ch. 144, par. 657.2)
 7        Sec. 7.2.  Smoke detection system plan. The Board  shall,
 8    by  January  1,  1985, submit to the office of the State Fire
 9    Marshal plans for a smoke detection system in all  University
10    dormitory  corridors  which  shall  be connected to a monitor
11    panel and to a central fire alarm system.
