 1                    AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 275

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend Senate Bill 275  by  replacing
 3    everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 4        "Section  5.   The  Local  Governmental  and Governmental
 5    Employees Tort Immunity Act  is  amended  by  adding  Section
 6    3-106.1 as follows:

 7        (745 ILCS 10/3-106.1 new)
 8        Sec.  3-106.1.   Property  used  by bicyclists. Neither a
 9    local public entity nor a public employee is  liable  for  an
10    injury  to  a  bicyclist  where the liability is based on the
11    existence of a condition of any street or highway, bike lane,
12    bike route, or bike path unless the local  public  entity  or
13    public  employee  is  guilty of willful and wanton misconduct
14    proximately causing the injury.".
