Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning licensure without examination.

Deletes reference to:
225 ILCS 85/8
Adds reference to:
225 ILCS 85/3from Ch. 111, par. 4123

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987. Makes changes in the definition of "pharmacist". Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Adds reference to:
225 ILCS 85/15.5 new

Further amends the Pharmacy Practice Act of 1987. Provides that "patient profiles" or "patient drug therapy records" includes information concerning prescriptions for controlled substances. Provides that, upon request, a pharmacist shall provide a physician licensed to practice medicine in all its branches who is prepared to prescribe or has prescribed a controlled substance for a patient with information from the patient's most recent patient profile, including information about any prescriptions for controlled substances.
