Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Insurance Code, the Health Maintenance Organization Act, and the Voluntary Health Services Plans Act to require coverage for services rendered by assistants in surgery. Effective immediately.

 Fiscal Note (Department of Central Management Services)
 This would increase costs to the state by approximately $1 million, which would be passed on to employees in the form of rate increases.
