Fiscal Note (Department on Aging) | |
Providing a cost estimate of this provision is difficult because the effective date of a federal or state minimum wage increase, and, the percentage increase of any future increase, are currently unknown. However, at this juncture, each 1% increase would result in an eleven-cent increase to the current CCP homemaker rate of $11.06 per hour. Each eleven-cent increment would generate an estimated twelve month gross cost for state fiscal year 2004 of $1.87 million. Based on recent Medicaid claiming data, the net cost is estimated at $1.48 million. Net cost refers to the gross state general revenue fund expenditure less Medicaid federal financial participation revenues. |
