35 ILCS 200/16-160

Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that in counties with 3,000,000 or more inhabitants, for assessments made for the 2002 and 2003 assessment years, except for property that is classified as "residential property" under the classification ordinance adopted by the county, the Property Tax Appeal Board shall have no jurisdiction to hear appeals. Provides that an appeal that would, but for this restriction, have been filed with the Property Tax Appeal Board shall be filed instead with the court that an appeal would have been filed with after a decision was issued by the Property Tax Appeal Board. Effective immediately.

	Fiscal Note (Department of Revenue)
	House Bill 1354 has no fiscal impact on the Department of Revenue or on revenue to the State of Illinois.
