SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marlin L. Reynolds of Milan, who
4passed away on November 15, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds, the son of Leo and Freda
6(Miller) Reynolds, was born in Moline on August 16, 1944; he
7served in the Army National Guard; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds worked for the Rock Island County
9Highway Department, retiring in 2017; he worked his family
10farm his entire life, and he was lovingly working on his farm
11at the time of his passing; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was a member of the Milan
13American Legion, the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the
14Rock Island County Farm Bureau, and he enjoyed collecting
15Allis-Chalmers tractors; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was known for being able to fix
17almost anything, and he was always willing to help his
18neighbors; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was preceded in death by his
20parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds is survived by his sister, Margo
2White; his niece, Teresa L. (Steven) Bradley; his nephews,
3Todd L. (Crystal) White, Troy L. (Val) White, and Terry L.
4(Chelle) White; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, John,
5Sam, Josh, Kylee, Mason, Gavyn, Elethia, Brady, and Kristina;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Marlin L. Reynolds and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Marlin Reynolds as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
